Nominations for committee positions
At our AGM, all committee position will be declared vacant and an election held to fill the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Rules and Judging Director, Competitions Director, Coaching Director, Membership Officer, Communications Officer, Partnerships Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator and Head Coach – Team Australia. Position descriptions for these roles are attached below, along with an overview of our committee structure.
Positions are also available in our subcommittees, with position on our Rules Sub-Committee and Athletes’ Council also available. The Athletes’ Council Terms of Reference can be viewed on our website http://www.skippingaustralia.org.au/documents and the Rules Committee member role description is attached below.
Nominations can be made using the attached 'Nomination Form' and should be emailed to admin@skippingaustralia.org.au.
Athletes’ Council members must be actively involved in one of our affiliate clubs and be at least 15 years of age by Dec 31, 2023.
Rules Sub-Committee should gain and maintain Level 3 judging qualifications in all four disciplines. No more than 1 member from each club can be a member of this sub-committee.
Other committee members must be current members of our association and be over 18 years old.
Written nominations must be received 7 days prior the AGM. If a compliant written nomination is not received for any position prior to the meeting, nominations from the floor will be called for.
Proxy voting
If you are unable to attend the AGM but would still like to vote, you can nominate a voting proxy by completing the 'Proxy Nomination 2023' form attached below, and emailing it to admin@skippingaustralia.org.au
Constitution
Our AGM will be conducted in accordance with our Constitution, which can be viewed on our website - http://www.skippingaustralia.org.au/documents.
